Steve began growing marijuana in 2011 as a licensed medical patient to manage his own chronic pain. Lacking access to safe, high-quality cannabis locally, Steve took it upon himself to build his first grow facility in the basement of his home in Aroostook County, Maine. The operation quickly outgrew the basement and Steve upgraded to the backyard, got a caregivers license – one of the first 200 in the state – and began to take on clients.
